Kota Tua or also known as Old Town, is a small area of the Dutch colonial era's legacy. It is located in North Jakarta. The buildings there look so old, as well as unique! That make the place as a target for the photographers for having pre-wedding or portrait photo shoot.
Kota Tua is close by the train station Jakarta-Kota. This is the last stop of station in Jakarta. I went here by train, and it took an hour from Depok [the city where I live] to arrive here.
When you come out the station, you'll see a big bank of BNI
Walk forward the street and you'll find the area of Kota Tua
So here we are in Kota Tua! This building used to be a government's office.
Even when there's no bazaar, you'll still find so many stands selling various food and souvenirs. Tourists and even locals love to shop here because the prices are quiet cheap.
If you see those round stones, you'll see more when you walk through the whole area.
Beautiful bags.... simple, yet look attractive
Feeling thirsty? No worries! you can refresh your throat by drinking this pure iced coconut!
If you're interested with body art.. there's a stand offering for body painting..
No, no i didnt try it, i'm not into that stuff.

Here's another art.. drawing, by the talented unpublished street artist.
Traditional simple souvenirs that you can take home with good price.
Here's the photo of me and my friends that was taken last year on 2011
Traditional Indonesian food 'Gado-gado'... made of mixed vegetables with rice dumpling and peanut sauce. I saw a couple of tourist eating this... maybe you should try it too if you visit my country :)
Now you can see my nephew whining to get that shawn the sheep rubber toy... lol
Bicycles! Now this is the fun part of Kota Tua! There are old antique bicycles that you can rent to explore the area. We call these bikes as 'sepeda onthel'.
You'll also get a hat when you rent the bike.
He's ready to go with the bike!
Okay fellas, I need more practice and enjoying myself exploring the area... so see ya!
